Painting with paper allows me to play with texture, depth, and layering in a way that mere paint alone cannot convey. When I experience a new place, the sights and sounds communicate to me the media and material with which they want to be expressed. Some yearn for the spontaneity of watercolor or monotypes, while others demand the texture and entanglement of collage and mixed media.
